Decks: So far I’ve hosed the decks/cockpit and washed it with washing up liquid and a boating brush mop. Works a charm.

Decks todo: 

• teak oil paint the grab rails
• oxalic acid to bring up the white, even whiter 

Cabin

• Teak oiled the grab rails

• Vinegar wash - clean to remove mould 

Saloon

• Oiled grab rails
• More todo

• Enlarge the storage access holes
• Inventory of all the storage spaces it’s like a fucking tardus

• Inspection done to completely change the sail system, adding lazy jacks and stay pack to ease solo sailing

Radio 

Bought a Cobra VHS Marine DSC GPS radio - needs MMSI = needs a VHF license

Course date: 18th April, certificate to be issued 21 days later (ffs)

Marine radio no DSc to use while we wait for the fucking license to be posted, £99 later but recommendation was great and can live in the SOS grab bag

AIS

• That orange floating thingy on the boat - that’s it, an AIS picker. Tada! £900+ saved right there

Open source maps using signal k to overlay AIS, weather, tides etc.

Lift & hold

• Blow up
• Check for leaks
• Mount at stern with 2 x fenders

Buy pump - so should be good to go as fenders needs pumping up.

Satellite

• Bought & tested starlink standard

Remember to turn off “melt snow” to save power.

Rope Maintenance

Ropes

• Removed 30% of the total ropes and washed them in the washing machine.
• Cleaned the Genoa rope - need to re-attach 
• Replaced mainsheet
• Running rigging - todo

Mousing line

Require 3mm mousing line to remove halyards & running rigging

Standing rigging

• Tighten & rewrap in tape (waterproof & repair tape)

Dock lines

• Sort out these - especially for going out
